We are not fighting a people, we are fighting a perverse idea which is much harder to eradicate. Moderates to some degree do exist in my opinion and I have heard of one or two who dare to speak out. But, the whole ideology of radical Islam is what must be stopped. I think for the most part we are in agreement. I simply feel that the Qur'an burning accomplishes nothing for any purpose and actually harms our efforts.Emhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10319851838233748332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7897455384190640588.post-34511516683933275252010-09-09T19:14:33.176-06:002010-09-09T19:14:33.176-06:00Your point was not missed; radical Islam does not ...Your point was not missed; radical Islam does not believe in live and let live and the sooner people understand that, the safer we will be, Koran burnings notwithstanding.

It matters not what we do, because those that wish to harm us will not change their ways, and the so called moderates ( which I don't believe exist) are too cowed to speak out.

As well, the Crusades were a reaction to an Imperialist Islam expanding into Christian territories. Islam was spread by the sword and was only stopped after centuries of bloody conquest outside the gates of Vienna.KURSKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00286593811913745188noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7897455384190640588.post-46332158861455101252010-09-09T19:04:18.578-06:002010-09-09T19:04:18.578-06:00I do agree, and I believe peaceful Muslims should ...I do agree, and I believe peaceful Muslims should do the same. I sadly can only think of one example, but yes. However, you miss my point. I was referring to events such as the Crusades in which Muslims were hunted. These days it is not common to my knowledge. Radical Muslims kill their own as well as us. Even if they do not I fail to see how burning a Quar'an will stop murderous rampages and soothe the souls of the families involved. It will only serve to harm our attempts to eliminate radicalism and create danger to our soldiers.Emhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10319851838233748332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7897455384190640588.post-60215643249415929442010-09-09T16:36:40.068-06:002010-09-09T16:36:40.068-06:00Some Christians might invoke their religion to do ...Some Christians might invoke their religion to do violence; however, they are roundly condemned ( often by other Christians) and often their actions are thwarted or stopped by the very same ( Northern Ireland comes to mind)

Can you say the same of Islam?

Who stops the murderous rampages so common with this faith?

Certainly not its adherents.KURSKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00286593811913745188noreply@blogger.com
